  1. A space suit is a protective suit worn by 
  2. astronauts and cosmonauts in space. It 
  3. provides an insulated, air-conditioned cocoon 
  4. in which people can live and work for hours 
  5. at a time while outside the spacecraft.  
  6. Inside the suit is a cooling garment that 
  7. keeps the body at a comfortable temperature 
  8. even during vigorous work. The suit also 
  9. provides air to breathe.
